What is Micro-Needling
Micro-needling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure where a device with tiny, fine needles creates controlled micro-
punctures in the top layer of the skin. Found at The Mob Spa in Charleston, WV.
How It Works
Micro-injuries: A handheld roller or pen-like electric tool with sterile needles gently moves across the skin.
Healing response: These tiny punctures trick the skin into activating its natural healing process.
Protein production: The skin increases production of collagen (a protein that keeps skin firm) and elastin (a protein that keeps skin stretchy and smooth).
Common Uses and Benefits
Reduces the appearance of acne scars and other scars
Softens fine lines and wrinkles
Improves uneven skin tone and texture
Minimizes enlarged pores and stretch marks

Helps topical serums and medications absorb deeper into the skin
What to Expect
Preparation: A numbing cream is usually applied to the skin for 20 to 30 minutes before the procedure for comfort.
Duration: The actual treatment takes about 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the size of the area. Areas can include face, breasts, hips, back, and chest
Recovery: Treated skin looks red and feels tender, much like a mild sunburn, for a couple of days. Follow-up with Microdermabrasion 7-10 after the procedure.
Results: Better complexion, smoothened lines, acne scars or stretch marks minimized, hyperpigmentation lessened. Most people need a series of 3 to 5 sessions spaced a few weeks apart to see their desired results.
